The Velocity Jump Rope spins fast and stays out of its own way. Ball bearings in the handles let the cable turn freely, which is what makes double-unders possible and what stops a rope stalling halfway through a round. The steel wire core keeps the cable straight and heavy enough that you always know where it is in the air.

A PVC coating protects the wire and your floor, and the three-metre length adjusts down to suit your height, so you are not fighting slack on every pass. Boxers use it for footwork and timed rounds, CrossFit athletes for double-unders, and anyone after serious conditioning in a small space uses a rope because it beats a treadmill for work per square foot.

Set the length by standing on the middle of the cable and bringing the handles up to armpit height, then trim or adjust from there until the rope clears your head by a comfortable margin. Use it on a smooth surface with some give, like wood or rubber matting, rather than rough concrete, which chews through the coating.
